One of my new years resolutions is to try to save enough money to buy my first house/unit so i’ve been
looking at my budget trying to work out where my money goes each month!
A lot of people may not realise how much money is spent on coffee – small amounts of money over a long period of time. For instance – I would typically have two large coffee’s each work day at a cost of $3.40 each. That works out to be ($6.80 x 240 (weekdays less annual leave)) = $1632 on coffee EACH YEAR which just seems utterly ridiculous so i’ve decided to make my own coffee at my desk with a nespresso coffee machine ($299) and coffee capsules ($0.60 each). This way I still get a nice cappuccino (picture left) and it will cost me just $144 for the year’s worth of coffee (excluding the machine & milk which is provided free).
