Legs were a bit sore this morning after my ride yesterday so I decided to take a break from the bike and went down to Bondi for a morning swim – water was superb and there were some small waves perfect for body surfing! My little GoPro waterproof camera has been getting a workout recently but it is just so versatile why not take it everywhere?
Liking the look of that camera Nick, it ooks like it would be a cheap way into underwater strobist activities. Does it have a built in flash? And what about focal engths – are there options or just one?
Hi Shane,
No built-in flash unfortunately – fixed focal length with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 – most of the shots I have taken aperture has been f/3.5, ISO 100 with the shutter speed varying for the exposure. You have little to no control over the ISO/shutter speed – just whether you take a single shot or have continuous shots every 2,5,10,20 or 30 seconds…
It also does full HD video and that is what these cameras are predominantly known for but it’s portability, relatively inexpensive price and easily replaceable waterproof housing make them quite attractive as a point & shoot camera!
