The photos below are the ones that don’t make the final cut for one reason or another! A lot of the time it’s because I’m not following the rule of thirds, because I mis-focused a fast moving subject, or just because there are other elements needed to take the image from ‘ok’ to ‘good’! 🙂

Having lunch one day in Hyde Park when I saw “Toothy Dancer” getting up and dancing to a busker like nobody’s watching for a good 30 minutes or so. He was having an absolute blast and it didn’t matter whether or not there were people walking past poking fun at how he was dancing or that he was singing along to some of the tunes. He looked happier than everyone else around him. 🙂  (edit: I’ve uploaded a video of him in action to YouTube – see it here) (edit #2: I’ve since learned there was a documentary made about this Gentleman, and his name is Raymond. Such an inspirational guy, full of life and bringing joy to people – see it here! – credit to Peet for telling me about Raymond!)
Bit shitty about missing the focus of the girl jumping in the last photo but what can you do? I’ll try to be better prepared next time!

Not too much shooting in January – training has increased on the bicycle for the upcoming 3 Peaks Challenge in March! For those interested I enjoyed watching this video from street photographer Mel DiGiacomo. For more photography-oriented videos I regularly visit ISO 1200 Magazine.
